To be rooted is perhaps the most important and least recognized need of the human soul.

~ Simone Weil

Pluto is the planet of destruction, rebirth, and power. For the past 15 years, Pluto travelled in Capricorn, and ruled structures, patriarchy, and people in power.

Stepping into the sign of Aquarius, Pluto rules people, and humanity as a whole. Its journey in the sign of unconventionality is an open invitation for us to find ourselves within communities and embrace our unique differences at the same time, making this a “golden” combination that has the power to bring constructive change and evolution to our current landscapes.

Pluto’s characteristics

  • Destruction
  • Power
  • Control
  • Birth and rebirth
  • Discovery
  • Mastery
  • Transformation

There can be a push towards more holistic systems and communities, which however do not exclude technology, rather than they thrive with it.

We may feel the need to let go of outdated power structures and give birth to new, internal revolutions; about the ways we are in the world, how we view ourselves and others, and how we understand togetherness as well.

Divisive orders will not work or serve us well during this time, marking a period of transformation especially for Cancerians and Virgoans. Leos may also struggle to compromise in order to co-exist in peace with others, and share intimate bonds, but at the end of this road there is true fulfillment coming in.

During this transit, it might be safe to avoid falling victims of societal trends and media trying to shape who we truly are. We can “save ourselves” through critical thinking, responsibility and ethical being among others and within communities.

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be attained only by someone who is detached.

~ Simone Weil, an Aquarian philosopher

Aquarius is partially ruled by Saturn, like Capricorn is, so this sign too is all about structures, power and hierarchy, only in a different shape or form. At the same time, however, this sign is all about detachment, taking one’s distance and rejoicing in both a sense of belonging, and authenticity.

During this transit, your uniqueness is to be celebrated and embraced by others, who are equally different from you, as something that is precious, and important for the collective table. Great teams are made by people who share the same core values yet differ, so that everyone gets to contribute something significant for the group.

Ways to find yourself and embrace your uniqueness:

  • Grow a talent or skill of yours
  • Dress how you want to
  • Read books that match your interests and natural inclinations
  • Find communities that are a good match
  • Pinpoint the people you admire, and why
  • Meditate
  • Do some emotional healing
  • Question things and look for answers
  • Work in a field that sparks your interest
  • Travel

Pluto in Aquarius can be a groundbreaking experience for artists and creatives of all kinds – it’s the perfect time to re-master your craft, find your true voice, and share who you are with the world. The more you practice consciously your craft, and the more you add your own authenticity to it, the more you may see yourself blossoming – along with your career, and your finances.

It does not matter how slowly you go, as long as you do not stop ~ Confucius

Individually, Pluto in Aquarius is a time to re-find yourself, to scratch beneath the surfaces and seek both reasons to unite with others and unite with your own self. They say everyone has more than one natural talents – during this transit you may be unearthing what’s yours, willing to offer it to the collective table, and also, to enjoy more of yourself with.

Collectively during this transit, we may feel needs such as moving to the countryside, enhancing our technological skills, growing our own food, making more money or saving more money, as well as growing our skills and learning how to depend on ourselves and those around us better. Everything may be moving too fast during this transit, for both Aquarius and Pluto are “impatient”, so it’s important to indulge into grounding practices and learn how to understand, respect and honor your own human pace.

Aquarius wants to build itself up so that it becomes even more self-reliant, but also, valuable to the communities around. New ways to make money, and also new strategies as to how to invest and save it can be discovered, as well as bring profound ease and relief during this time.
