The New Moon in Capricorn highlights the intimate dance between our fate and our destiny, and reminds us how we’re not to uproot the first in order to get into the second. The way towards our destiny is actually through our fate.

Fate is the web we’re born into – the soil from which we rise, what we’ve been given from our immediate family and surroundings. Destiny is what comes from within us, right from the inside of our heart – it’s found in the ways we stretch beyond what we’ve been merely given by birth, how we shape our own paths.

Under this Moon, a wake-up call that has to do with your destiny may ring close to your heart – close enough so you can actually hear. It’s the best time to set potent intentions and visualize your next, chosen steps.

Capricorn has a lot to do with unlearning, and then absorbing new knowledge – hopefully consciously and based on our free will. It’s the best time to begin learning anew – about life, yourself, your beliefs and your overall experiences in life.

What you can start learning now has the power to transform you and take you somewhere amazing. The Moon is adding plenty of intuition to this so you can expect to be lovingly guided towards new learning.

This New Moon also has to do with you, becoming your own provider and re-parenting yourself. You can become your own mother, or father – or both – and shower both your inner child and the healthy adult in you with love, compassion, understanding and support. You can manifest your dreams through this loving practice, and chances are, you can do so faster than you’d imagine.

Time in silence can now give you a clear answer to the question “what life wants to be born through me?” – the rest will simply flow.

We’re still in the middle of a cold, still winter. The New Moon in Capricorn can arrive like the first rays of sun piercing through the fog upon the snowy mountains. Don’t rush this. Stay with yourself. Stay with the silence. Let both gently reveal where your journey’s asking to take you next.

The symbolic picture of this New Moon reminds us about the ways Spirit is everywhere, communicating with us all the time. We’re being invited to tap into our very own spiritual practices and understanding, and listen to that inner voice that is gently showing the way.

It also highlights our self-interests during this time. We have the power to add goodness into the world through them, and serve the greater good in our communities, especially when we turn those into a form of service – this give and take is abundant and can go round and round endlessly, in positive ways.

The message here is that, we need each other and can be there for each other, through the co-creation of a healthy “I”, a healthy Self.

When we realize that everything we do has the power to affect others, we may rise into this power and work with it for good, become more compassionate and more loving towards the others.

Eventually, we may see that the way we treat others becomes the way we treat ourselves and of course vice versa – any difference is lost as love rises.
